AIEDR is a Rwandan non-profit-making organization recognized by the ministry, founded by a team of experts with substantial experiences in inclusive education, rehabilitation, management and research on children with disabilities and other Special Needs.
Action for Inclusive Education and Development – Rwanda (AIEDR) is a Rwandan non-profit-making organization recognized by the Ministerial Order Nº37/08.11 of 22/02/2012 and granting it its legal status as published in the national Official Gazette N°20 of 14 May 2012, and subsequently certified by the Rwanda Governance Board (RGB) No. 649/ RGB/ NGO/OC/ 01/2020 of 13th January, 2020 in accordance with Article No. 04/2012 of 17th February, 2012 governing all activities and management of non-profit making organizations within the republic of Rwanda.
AIEDR was founded by a team of experts with substantial experiences in inclusive education, rehabilitation, management and research on children and youth with disabilities and other Special Needs. The occupations, professional activities and publications of the key founders have linked AIEDR with stakeholders in public and civil societies serving in Rwanda and the sub-regions (Great lakes and East Africa), notably Humanity & Inclusion-Rwanda (Former Handicap International Rwanda), UR CE, DGD, NCPD, UPHLS, NUDOR, AGHR and a few others, with whom AIEDR continues to grow its activities.
